G Parenting offers research-informed compassionate parenting courses for all caregivers.

G Parenting believes all families should have access to essential parenting skills in raising healthy and happy children.

"Effective parenting requires compassion for you and your child. It's not about being perfect, but about understanding how to foster space for humanity and living in accordance with your values."

- G Parenting

Being grounded in parenting roles mean using your values and connection to guide you through difficult and meaningful moments.

Bringing gentleness to parenting means being gentle with our children and ourselves. It means cultivating respect for our and our children's humanity.

These trainings are specifically created for all caregivers inside and outside of the home to foster cohesion, collaboration, and shared family values.

Our Why

G Parenting is created by clinical psychologists, Melissa Londoño Connally, Ph.D. and Beth Janis, Ph.D., who work with children, adolescents, parents, and families. They care deeply about supporting healthy family systems and believe all families should have access to education in compassionate parenting.

G Parenting's courses are informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory, and other evidence-based practices.

Melissa Londoño Connally, Ph.D.

Dr. Connally is a visual artist and licensed psychologist with specialization in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her integration of metaphor and evidence-based practices supports parents showing up meaningfully and flexibly for the children in their lives.

"G Parenting is co-created by Dr. Connally and Dr. Janis, who are compassionate clinical psychologists who believe strongly in empowering families by providing them with up-to-date, evidence-based parenting tools. Drs. Connally and Janis have extensive training in working with children, parents, and families - particularly from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy model.
